Fred Camden

Fred Camden: Director & Career Specialist

With twenty-five years of management and supervisory experience that included interviewing, training, and the human resource process with employees from a variety of backgrounds, Fred has a combination of both personal and professional experience conducive to being an effective Director and Career Specialist. Fred develops and maintains strong business relationships in a variety of industries that result in competitive long-term employment throughout the North Texas region. Fred attended the University of North Texas in Denton where he majored in Business Administration and Management. During Fred's spare time, he enjoys family time and the grandchildren, walking, reading, surfing the net, fishing, and camping.




Amy Dacus

Amy Dacus: Supported Employment Specialist & Career Coach

Amy Dacus comes to Camden, Camden, & Associates from The Great Lakes State, Michigan, where she discovered shortly after high school that she had a passion for helping people. She became a licensed CNA and gained nearly 20 years of experience working with the elderly population, developmentally disabled adults, and in skilled nursing care facilities. Amy relocated to Garland in 2004 and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, taking care of her dog and two birds, walking, and being out in nature.

 


Sonja Camden

Sonja Camden, MSW, 2009 Business & Administrative Consultant, Job Placement Specialist

Sonja is a thirty-year veteran in working with those with disabilities, to include mild, moderate, and severe physical and mental health challenges. Her personal and professional experience began with Garland Independent School District as a special education aide. Upon completing a Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington, she accepted employment with Ability Connections (formerly United Cerebral Palsy, Dallas, Texas) to serve Medicaid waiver CLASS participants. Sonja continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington and completed a Master of Science in Social Work with a concentration in mental health. Sonja attribtutes her passion for disability employment to working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Teacher and served many clients throughout the North Texas region with low vision and blindness. As a result of intensive state training and work experience, Sonja co-founded & launched Life Abilities, Inc. (dba: Camden, Camden & Associates), with a state contract to provide supported employment, job placement and job coaching. After Life Abilities' sixteen years of job placement and employer relations success, Sonja continues to serve as a Consultant, Job Placement Specialist & Trainer. Personally, Sonja has always said it was Matthew, her son born with severe Cerebral Palsy, who inspired her dreams for serving individuals with disabilities and their families. Sonja's hobbies include her precious Teddy Bear dog, Carley, gospel music, podcasts, reading biographies, inspirational & spiritual literature, knitting, and traveling, yet most importantly, time with family and friends anytime it's possible.

 


Steve Pohl

Steve Pohl: Vice President of IT and Marketing

Steve Pohl came to the Camden, Camden & Associates team to help establish Camden, Camden & Associates as a 21st century company by building their digital identity and online brand in the information age. As a former Vocational Rehabilitation Services consumer and the husband of a disabled veteran, Steve has seen several sides of this industry. His experience in web design is rather eclectic with sites as varied as telecom companies, campaign sites, portfolios, fan art galleries, SEO consulting, and he also designed the website and e-book covers for a best selling Canadian author. In the past he has taught web design for the Upward Bound program at Richland College and still spends time helping out in their multimedia lab to aide students in using a wide array of modern digital media tools. Steve is a movie and trivia buff and likes to spend his free time reading, gaming, creating digital art, traveling cyberspace, and spending time with his wife and gifted daughter.

 



Arianne Haynes

Arianne Haynes: Job Placement Specialist & Career Coach

Arianne Haynes is a dedicated professional with a rich background in education, counseling, and advocacy. With a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University, she has honed her expertise in understanding and serving diverse communities.
With nearly three decades of experience in working with disabilities, Arianne has developed a deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face. Her commitment to empowering others and fostering inclusivity has been the driving force behind her work.
As the daughter of Sonja Camden, founder of Camden and Camden Associates, Arianne inherits a legacy of compassion and service. She carries forward this tradition, integrating her personal experiences and professional skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Arianne finds joy and fulfillment in her personal life. She is a devoted wife and mother to six children, finding balance between her family and career with grace and determination. Her hobbies include decorating, painting, and indulging in retail therapy through shopping adventures.
Arianne embodies a holistic approach to life, blending her professional expertise with personal passions to create a fulfilling and purpose-driven existence. Through her work and personal endeavors, she continues to inspire and uplift those around her.
